Cole Billington, CFP^®

Cole Billington is a Financial Advisor and Investment Advisor Representative at Barnum Financial Group. Cole acts as a resource, using holistic financial planning to help clients make the right financial decisions for their future. Working collaboratively, he guides them in determining and clarifying their financial goals, evaluating their financial position, and identifying areas of opportunity. He helps them protect what is important to them with insurance strategies, as well as save and invest for their future.

Cole has always considered himself a teacher when it comes to his role as a financial advisor. Unfortunately, there is a major gap in financial education across the country. Fundamental topics such as retirement planning, investing, and tax strategies are not common knowledge nor taught in schools. This passion for financial education and understanding is what drives him to want the best possible financial future and well-being for his clients. After years of coursework and experience, Cole has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional (CFP®) designation, the recognized standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning in a fiduciary capacity.

Cole previously worked in private banking, where after feeling unfulfilled, found his passion again when he transitioned to working with the public. Cole has been in the business for 8 years and is licensed to sell life, accident, and health insurance as well as holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. He graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing.

Outside of work, Cole enjoys traveling, skiing with his wife, and family time with his baby girl. He is an avid sports fan and dreams of the day his beloved Buffalo Bills win a championship.
